The "History of One Photo" project on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Nencki Foundation

One of the foundational goals of the Nencki Foundation is to promote the scientific heritage of the M. Nencki PAN. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its establishment, the Nencki Foundation began the project "The Story of One Photo". The goal of the project is to tell the 100-year history of the Nencki Institute through photos that are enriched with a detailed description of the illustrated image, with others having particular emphasis on the people shown in the photo, and the circumstances behind them. The photos demonstrate the broadly understood work at the Nencki Institute, i.e. photos from research work, institute ceremonies, defending doctoral dissertations, stay at scientific internships, participation in conferences, workshops and social meetings, etc. We anticipate that we will receive photos that are still within the archives family, but have not been published yet, which were created during activities at the Nencki Institute.

General principles of the project:

- photos, in JPG format, should be sent by e-mail (e-mail subject: "History of One Photo") to the address: fundacja.nenckiego@nencki.edu.pl,  along with a text describing the photo, and the circumstances of its taking (up to 1000 characters from spaces). The description of the photo should be signed by the author of the text.

- photos received, of good technical quality, will be published on an ongoing basis on dedicated Facebook sites https://www.facebook.com/groups/830825617815691 and Instagram. The most interesting photos will then be published on the website of the Nencki Foundation.

- sending a photo by e-mail is tantamount to consenting to its publication by the Nencki Foundation for the implementation of the statutory objectives.

- the beginning of the Project on July 1, 2021. The project will run for the next 12 months.
