Responsibilities
The role of the Office of International Cooperation and Project Management includes:
The office facilitates all formal and organizational aspects
of international collaboration, including scientific
exchange programmes, organizational, legal, and financial
aspects of hosting foreign visitors at the Institute, as
well as travel of the Institute’s employees abroad.
The office assists Institute’s scientists in development and
preparation of proposals for international funding, monitors
the financial and administrative aspects of the submitted
proposals and of the on-going funded projects. It also
proactively informs the scientists of existing funding
possibilities within EU and other international programmes.
Head of the office also acts in the capacity of a project
manager for some large and complex EU projects such as 6 and
7FP and multi-partner consortia. The office acts as a
liaison with the National Contact Point and a larger
Campus-wide project management and consulting unit, that has
a broader range of expertise and manpower sufficient for
preparation and management of large and complex
international projects.
The office prepares annual reports of the Institute’s
international cooperation for the Polish Academy of
Sciences.
The office Head reports to the Deputy Director for
Scientific Research and/or directly to the Institute
Director.

collaboration and document workflow management capabilities.
Five personal computers with standard operating systems and
software as well as specialised software applications.
Standard office accessories (fax/copier/scanner/printers).
