Research profile
Structure and function predictions for proteins important in human disease, in particular uncharacterised transmembrane proteins; Systems biology analysis of gene expression data; Evolutionary analysis of gene expression profiles.
Current research activities
- Structure / function analysis and evolutionary history of CLCAs, a novel enzyme family;
- Structure / function analysis of a novel family of putative transmembrane receptors;
- Studying expression profiles of drug targets;
- New methods for pathway analysis of gene expression data: development of the GSEA method (gene set enrichment analysis)
