Competition for the position of a Group Leader 2008

Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw is inviting applications in an open competition for the position of a GROUP LEADER

Highly motivated scientists, who completed at least two-years of post-doctoral training, have outstanding scientific achievements, and are ready to start their independent careers are encouraged to apply.

We offer a job in the largest research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Nencki Institute is active in the fields of neurophysiology, molecular and cellular neurobiology, biochemistry, protein chemistry, cell biology and neuropsychology. Research interests of the candidates should remain within research fields of the Nencki Institute, and/or introduce new research areas, such as bioinformatics or neuroinformatics.

The initial contract in this position is for 5 years, with a possible extension after positive evaluation of the candiadate's achievements. We offer furnished laboratory space, adjusted to the individual needs of the successful candidate, as well as access to the Institute's shared equipment. The selected person will be able to hire three persons.

Qualified persons interested in applying for the position should submit the following documents:

  • CV
  • list of publications
  • short proposal of research plans (no more than 3 pages)
  • reprints of three selected experimental papers
  • three letters of recommendation
