On February 2, 2011 Prof. Maciej Banach, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education visited the Nencki Institute, upon invitation from the Institute Board of Directors.

Minister Banach toured the Laboratory of Confocal Microscopy, headed by Prof. Wanda Kłopocka and the Laboratory of Cell Signalling and Metabolic Disorders, headed by Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń. A meeting with Nencki Institute’s PhD candidates followed, moderated by Prof. Jolanta Skangiel-Kramska and Prof. Leszek Kaczmarek. The visit ended with a meeting of Prof. Banach with the following directors of BioCentrum Ochota Institutes:
